Terms and Conditions

Hire Limitations

• All Driver/Hirers accept full responsibility for the security and care of the About OZ Camper & Caravan Hire Campers/Caravans including all equipment at all times.
  
• All Driver/Hirers must hold a Full Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and be at least 25 years of age and under 75 years old.
  
• All Driver/Hirers need to be identified on the Hire Agreement before towing any About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans.
  
• All Hirers need to provide a current Photo Licence and one of the following - Medicare Card, Credit Card, Passport or Rates Notice.
  
• All Driver/Hirers of About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans must not have been refused Motor Vehicle Insurance.
  
• The Hirer's towing vehicle is to have a current Comprehensive Insurance Policy, Registration for the hire period and About Oz Caravan and Camper Hire requires copies of these.
  
• Driver/Hirers must not tow the About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans whilst under the influence of Alcohol and or Drugs.
  
• The Hirers are not permitted to lend or sub-lease the Camper Trailer/Caravan plus any of its equipment supplied by About Oz Caravan and Camper Hire to any other persons.
  
• Please ensure that at all times About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans will be towed in a safe manner according to road and weather conditions.

Terms of Payment

• A deposit of $200.00 is payable as a Booking Fee/Holding Fee, this is non-refundable.
  
• Full payment for the hire period is required upon pickup of our camper trailer/caravan.
  
• We accept Cash, Direct Bank Deposit, Mastercard & Visa. 
  
• Security Bond of $750.00 is payable prior to departure (covering excesses and insurance costs).
  
• Security Bond is refunded (in part or whole depending on the condition of the Camper Trailer/Caravan) to the Hirer within 3 working days after full inventory and maintenance check has been carried out by About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire.
  
• About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire reserves the right of hire refusal to any persons deemed unsuitable.
  
• About OZ Caravan & Caravan Hire reserves the right to cancel the Hire Agreement at any given time should the Terms of Payment be contravened and Booking Fee/Holding Deposit of $200.00 is non-refundable.
  
• About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire reserves the right to substitute the unit hired in the event the unit originally requested is unavailble for whatever reason.
  

Damage

• Should any damage occur to About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans depending on the severity the entire or part of Security Bond is retained at the discretion of About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire. Should the cost of replacement/repair exceed the Security Bond of $750.00 the Hirer will forfeit the bond.
  
• Care is to be taken in keeping the annex in a clean condition and free from stains.
  
• Stone damage as a result of travelling on gravel roads will be charged to the hirer. The default cost to repair damaged caused in this manner to the front of any camper/caravan is $1000.00 minimum.
  
• Insurance does not cover damage caused by sea water. The hirer will be responsible for all damages caused by sea water.
  
• Should the repair or replacement cost exceed the bond, the hirer will be responsible for paying any additional amounts.
  
• Do not leave awning set up in wet/windy conditions and whilst Camper Trailer/Caravan is unattended.
  
• Damage to the tyres and Rims of the Camper Trailer/Caravans is the responsibility of the Hirer, should tyre(s) puncture, blow or shred they must be replaced by the Hirer at their expense.
  
• About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans must not be altered, modified, or tampered with in any way either internally or externally.
  
• Items are not to be stored on the Camper Trailer/Caravan floor as this can cause damage to floor covering and furniture eg: BBQ's, Gas Bottles, Esky's and Ice Boxes, Engel/Waeco Fridges, Surf/Boogie Boards or any hard item that is likely to cause damage.
  
• Any items found to be broken, missing, substituted or lost will be deducted from the Hirers Security Bond.
  

Accidents

• In the event of an accident involving the About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans the Hirer must notify About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire as soon a practicable.
  
• The Hirer is responsible for making the report to the Police in the event of any accident.
  
• The Hirer is responsible for obtaining the following details: Name, DOB, Address, Phone Numbers, Driving Licence details of any other drivers involved, the Registration number, Make, Model and Colour of any other vehicles involved, the name and address details of any witnesses present at the time of accident and the Police Officers Name and Station where accident is reported.
  

Breakdowns

• About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire must be advised in the event of a breakdown as soon as possible. It is the hirer's responsibility to make sure that the Camper Trailer/Caravan is secure at all times. About Oz Caravan & Camper Hire shall not be liable for expenditure, inconvenience, loss or damage incurred by the hirer in the event of a breakdown.

Infringements

• The Driver/Hirer is fully responsible for paying any infringements eg: Traffic, Parking, Toll etc.

Personal Items

• About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans takes no responsibility for the hirer's personal effects. It is recommended that the hirer insure their own personal effects eg: Jewlery , Phones, Cameras, Watches etc.

Cleaning

• The Camper Trailer/Caravan is to be returned in a clean and tidy condition both inside and out. Excessive cleaning will result in a charge against your bond.
  
• If the Camper Trailer/Caravan is not cleaned to a satisfactory condition, a cleaning fee will be deducted from your bond at a rate of $60.00 per hour or a maximum of $240.00. (About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire reserves the right to deduct the cleaning fee from the bond).
  
• All Toiletry systems must be returned cleaned or a charge of $60.00 will be charged against your bond.
  

Smoking

• Smoking is not permitted in About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans or under awnings/annexes. Also Smoke Smell from camp fires could result in a charge against your bond.
  

Pets

• Pets are not permitted in any of About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans.

Trailer Plug

• All About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire Campers/Caravans have a Seven Pin Flat Plug fitted. Adaptors are available if required.

Braking systems

• All About Oz Caravan & Campers/Caravans have electric brakes and most are fitted with an A-frame Electric brake controller.
  
  The larger units (such as L663) require an electric brake controller fitted to the tow vehicle.

Restricted Areas

• "On Road" means bitumen only other than dirt access roads to camping areas or national parks.
  
• "Off Road" means all major roads and sundry roads, dirt or bitumen, other than 4WD tracks labeled "4WD" only. Roads excluded for caravans are Tanami Track, Gibb River Road, Canning Stock Route and Sturt Stoney Desert areas, should not be travelled with any caravan or camper trailer owned by About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire.
• Caravans and Camper Trailers are NOT to be taken across swollen creeks or rivers
  

Loading and vehicle compatibility

• About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire cannot hire to the owner of a vehicle that does not comply with both the Towing capacity and Tow ball mass limits required to tow the specific unit to be hired. If you are unsure of you vehicles towing capacity we will cladly assist, but responsibility is with the Driver/Hirer.

One-Way Hire

• This option is not available. All Camper Trailers/Caravans are to be pickup and returned to About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire business address. Any Camper Trailer/Caravan not returned and needing retrieval the hiree will be charged $100.00 per hour travel each way plus the Peak Daily Hire Rate.

Late Returns

• About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire allows 60 minutes grace before late charges occur.
  
• Any request for additional days is at the discretion of About OZ Caravan & Camper Hire management and will rely entirely on future demand and availability.

Early Drop Off

• No refunds for early terminations of a Hire Agreement.

Hire Agreement

• The hirer by signing the agreement and/or paying a deposit confirms and agrees that he/she has read the above terms and conditions and understands and agrees fully with these terms and conditions.
  
• The hirer agrees that he/she is fully aware of the correct procedures for using all of the equipment supplied and that the equipment is in good working condition upon commencement of the hire period.
  
• The hirer agrees that the equipment will be used solely for its intended use.
